Kids do and say the darndest things

Today Grete came up to me and wanted some dental floss because she had a toenail stuck between her teeth. I really need to teach that girl not to chew on her toes. (Yesterday I actaully caught her biting her toenails...Yuck!)

A little while later I walk into my bedroom and Grete is in her swimsuit, sitting on my bed eating a steak and french fries.....from her play kitchen...Now if we could just get her to eat some real food!

...there is also a stack of cheese crackers on my nightstand with the peanut butter missing out of the middle....great, and probably a pile of crumbs in my bed.

All the while, RJ is outside making it rain with the hose...and getting soaking wet....love those kids!

Happy Birthday to my Ladybug!

Grete celebrated her 3rd Birthday last Sunday. I can't believe it's already been 3 years since I gave birth to that little peanut. She also had her well child check-up and despite having a fever for a few days, she is a healthy little girl. I believe she will be a peanut for awhile as she weighed in at just 26lbs and 36" tall. 4% on the chart for weight and 31% for weight. I think if they have a chart for personality hers would be way off the charts :-) Grete loved all her Birthday presents especially her "bahbies" ...so did her mom. Now I have an excuse to play Barbies again! yay

Camp Nick

Stephanie and I took the kids to the cities earlier this month for a quick getaway. We took them to Nickelodeon World for Toddler Tuesday. They both had a great t time and RJ's new favorite is the rollercoaster while Grete's new favorite are the race cars!

Took the kids on the Merry-go-Round first. They had fun,..I on the other hand am getting too sensitive to ride on the round and round rides, I was a little nauseous when we got off.

Grete and I went on these twice. They were her favorite!

Getting ready for Colorado

We took the kids skiing the last couple of weekends to get some practice in before we head out West. They both had a great time and all I can say is Grete is a natural on skis! She definately takes after her namesake.
She went down the magic carpet hill twice before she said that's enough, I want to go faster, which she then pointed to the gonola and said I want to go up there.....Easy girl! Let's not get ahead of ourselves :-)
RJ has been doing great as well, he's not as stable on his skis as his sis, but he's getting the hang of it. Last Sunday when we went, Mark took Grete on Ullr. He said they were going down the hill and Grete hit a little bump and got some air. She was so excited! She turned around and said, Dad, I got some air! That girl has no fear.
